When a document is translated, you need to apply the same layout as the original. It does not matter if it is a user guide, a flyer or a brochure. The target text needs to have the same layout as the original and it needs to be adapted to the local conventions.
Jensen Localization relies on partners specialized in DTP firms for more complex tasks, but the majority is always done by our in-house staff. After the DTP is done, our translators carry out a DTP check in order to make sure that the translation is correctly placed following the same order as the original.
Of the many checks done during the DTP process, we can mention checking for inconsistencies, spelling mistakes, typographical mistakes, correct insertion (and localization) of graphics, correct order of original.
