The professional translators’ demand increases in Spain

The amount of job vacancies has dropped during the last 12 months (July 2008 – June 2009) compared with the previous 12 months, but this information varies depending on work sectors, according to Infojobs, a site dedicated to publish job offers.
The most important decrease has happened in Real estate and construction (- 69%), but there are also other sectors that has suffered this decrease, such as private banks (- 68%) and personnel recruitment sector (- 67%).
On the other hand, the sectors where the professionals ´demand has increased is Translation and Interpretation (+ 40 %) and the aeronautical field (+ 1%).
Despite of the crisis, Translation and Interpretation sector has kept a permanent growth during the last 12 months.
