Another year, another edition of SIMED in which Jensen Localization participates offering its translation services.

This year there have been more than 8,000 attendees who have gathered at the Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Malaga (Fycma).

More than half of the participants have had a professional nature, with also a large presence of investors interested in closing operations in Malaga-Costa del Sol and the Mediterranean coast.

In the presentations that have taken place in the Mediterranean Real Estate Showroom this year there has been talks about sustainability in construction, building and housing solutions, as well as the irruption of the Proptech concept in the process of real estate promotion and marketing, where the incorporation of technological innovation is conceived as an added value.

The exhibition area of the hall has been diversified with new spaces that accommodated the challenges of the sector in terms of its digital transformation and the building boom developed under criteria of sustainability and energy efficiency.

This year SIMED has released the SIMED Innova area, a space for companies and professionals specialized in offering digital services and tools for the real estate sector. In this way, SIMED is showing and deepening Proptech technology and has become a meeting point for national and international startups.

The Proptech market has been around since 2000, examples of this are; Idealista and Rightmove, followed by the appearance of Peer to Peer platforms such as Airbnb and Homeaway in 2008, but these companies are only a small part of the Proptech market. In general, Proptech refers to any company that uses technology to refine, improve or reinvent any service within the real estate sector.
