Innovation in the Hospitality Industry

The Andalusian tourism sector represents a huge market with millions of tourists, and several millions of euros in profit. In terms of employment, tourism creates 100.000 direct and indirect jobs and a considerable part of these jobs concern positions in the translation and interpretation industry.

On February 4 – 6 Salón Hostelería y Turismo Málaga hosted the 21^st edition of H & T, the only event in Southern Europe that is dedicated to the hotel and hospitality industry. For hotels and restaurants there is no better way to serve their customers from around the world than by making sure their amenity descriptions, menus and activity programs are available in several languages. That’s why Jensen Localization attended this event to offer translation and localization services.

The event was held at the Palace of Congresses and Fairs of Malaga (FYCMA) and a wide and innovative range of equipment, services, and gastronomy was presented. This year, the event was centered around the concept innovation. With 200 exhibitors and 10.000 visitors this was clearly an appealing topic and it gave us the perfect opportunity to reach out to potential clients.

This year’s edition of the fair, H & T expanded its space dedicated to gastronomy and wine, as well as international trade meetings. Wines from all over the Andalusian region were presented and many wineries are already exporting their product to other European countries or are planning to do so. Successfully establishing a brand in another country comes with a great demand in marketing material, such as company brochures, leaflets, a multilingual website and much more. As such, the event was the perfect moment to meet up with potential clients and tell more about our services.

We look back on an interesting event in which we gained a lot of new knowledge about the hospitality industry and had interesting conversations. For now, we’ll get back to business by following up all the leads from the conference.
