Jensen Localization launches E-procurement
A new tool for improving efficiency between all departments
Jensen Localization is happy to announce the release of E-procurement, a proprietary tool developed entirely by Jensen Localization’s IT department to provide Project Managers, accountants and translators with an efficient and user friendly way of managing their administrative tasks. We have been researching several similar tools, but found them either too complex and therefore less user friendly or just not sufficient. We therefore decided to develop a tool that was exactly in line with our needs and the needs of our team.
E-procurement is an additional module to our Project Management tool, Order Book, and our Accounting and Invoicing tool, Economy, also developed internally. We were pleased to learn that this tool was welcomed and much appreciated also by our translators and we will continue improving it with their valued feedback.
But E-procurement is not only a tool for invoicing projects. It also helps translators to keep track of their jobs, as not only will they see information about the jobs that are closed and can be invoiced, but they will also be able to access jobs that are in progress, so that they will not miss a deadline. E-procurement also includes a Wiki site where translators will be notified of important issues, such as maintenance tasks scheduled for the system and important business related updates.
Also, very important for translators, is that E-procurement does not affect their current invoicing system, as it contains a cross-reference to the translators’ invoice number in their own systems. So, they do not have to do two different invoices. All they have to do is enter their own invoice number and upload their invoices in E-procurement!
We are all humans and we all make errors, but with E-procurement is almost impossible to make errors. When an invoice is not correct, the translator will be notified and the system will not accept an invoice until it is totally correct.
Last, but not least, E-procurement is a green tool, as it is helping to reduce the number of printed invoices and POs. Jensen Localization is concerned about the environment and this is another good practice to protect it.
