Localization World Conference Berlin – June 7 – 9
From June 7th-9th Jensen Localization attended the Localization World conference in Berlin, Germany. Hendrika Huisman from the Dutch office and Hooman Hadavand from the Spanish office had the honors of representing Jensen Localization. The pre-conference day started with a full day of workshops and round-table seminars, and was followed by a nice opening reception at the Zollpackhof restaurant.
On June 8th the actual conference started. The next two days were filled with presentations and panel discussions on topics such as global social media, the future of the localization industry, machine translation and internationalization. Hendrika and Hooman have gained interesting new insights in these topics and had so many interesting meetings to choose from they could not even attend them all.
Apart from the presentations and panel discussions, the conference was of course also aimed at networking. This could be done in-between the sessions during conference day two and three but also during the opening night reception and the dinner following the second conference day. This dinner took place at a restaurant at the famous Tiergarten Park which offered a very nice setting.
All in all, Hendrika and Hooman had an eventful and inspiring three days in Berlin. Jensen Localization will be present again at the next Localization World Conference in Seattle, Washington in October. We look forward to meeting our contacts again at that time.
